Art I
"I dream my painting, and then I paint my dream." -Vincent Van Gogh
2/21/2017 0 Comments Completed Observation ProjectThis is my final observation piece. I finished coloring in her veil, and at first it didn't look right so I had to extend the fabric on her shoulders. My favorite part about this is her eyes, and the most challenging part was her skin. Getting the color onto the page was easy, but I am used to working with smooth textures and the paper was more rough. This frustrated me slightly when I couldn't get it completely smooth, but overall I am happy with how it turned out.

2/16/2017 0 Comments Final Observation Piece ProgressThis is the progress of my observation project. I am almost done drawing the skin, and next I will finish the veil over her mouth to represent the silence refugees have to live through.
2/10/2017 0 Comments Final Observation Project ProgressThis is my observation project progress. I am using a picture online to draw the face of a refugee girl with her face covered, except for her eyes, to make a statement about the current issues going on in the world.
2/9/2017 0 Comments Object Observation ProjectThis is my finished object observation project. I collected several objects from around the art room and organized them in a way that I liked, and then drew them. I used mostly colored pencils and oil pastels, and tried to do as many details as possible.
2/2/2017 0 Comments Observation ExerciseThis week, after the tape project, we looked at objects in the room and drew them from observation. My picture is of a shell like barnacle structure, a sand dollar, a shell, and a glass jar. I finished the pencil sketch and now I'm working on the color, but it might take longer than I expected if I'm going to add a lot of details.
2/1/2017 0 Comments Perspective Tape ArtThis is the tape art that me and my group made. It is the bird's eye view of buildings from above. We also wanted to play with a 3D perspective, so we tried making a building on the stairs as well.
