1/23/2018 0 Comments Styrogami Exercise / Limitations Today in class we began a study on limitations within artwork. Limitations can be both liberating and exciting. As a quick exercise, we were each given two Styrofoam cups and an Exacto knife. Exercises like this often intimidate me because sometimes it can be difficult for me to come up with something creative to make. I brainstormed for awhile, thinking of the different things I could make with the cups. One of my options was to create an abstract piece with the Styrofoam, but I decided I wanted to make something representational. At first I wanted to make a small octopus, but as I created it it ended up looking more like a crab. So I altered some of its features and added claws and eyes, completing my Styrogami piece.
